I'm big into my bbq and had high expectations. I'm happy to say they delivered. Spicy is spicy here. The make their own pickles, ketchup and sauces too. That's always the sign of a good bbq place. They didn't explain that very well and felt it undersold the value of what they have.
The mac & cheese is awesome and probably my highlight. The other big standout is the carrots with Mole. The mole has a bit of a kick to it. Pulled pork slider was also a great option.
Glad to see them supporting some local craft breweries as well.
My only (very small) issue was the volume and slicing of the Brisket. The brisket was good, but the machine cut thinness removed some of the character of the small 200g serving. I would have happily paid more to get more. I'm also not a huge fan of when the brisket has been soaked in a salt brine, but that is a personal choice and I am getting into splitting hair territory where us bbq'ers like to argue over the smoker while drinking a beer.
Saying that, I would happily eat it again though. We will be back.
Dog friendly.
My wife loves ribs and enjoys eating them wherever she can find them. We decided to do something different in Barcelona and have ribs and pulled pork at a local restaurant.
It turns out we made a very good choice. The ribs were fall off the bone good and both her ribs and my pulled pork sandwich were moist and the flavor was only embellished by their homemade barbecue sauce. We also had a side of well seasoned wedge potatoes
We were also treated very well from the moment we entered until the time we left. I felt that the bill was also very reasonable at €38, which included wine and soda.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody hungering for some home cooked barbecue. The restaurant is now named Costillas BBQ
Very nice place. The portion was a little too small for Americans. Love the interior design.
