This is an amazing place. One of the oldest restaurants in Barcelona with the original stained glass and many original features including an old ice cooler. The staff are enthusiastic about the food and very helpful. Everything we tried was excellent. I think my favorites were the sausages and the steak but the baby beans, chicken croquettes, anchovies were all super. Try the tomato toast, I was shown how to eat this when I first visited Barcelona and Jacob reminded me. Needless to say all the desserts were excellent as was the wine. There is even local craft beer. Although it is a little off the beaten track it is definitely worth a short walk.
I love this place! Food is what I would call 'traditional Catalan with a twist'. Their menu offers different options for all kind of tastes. I specially enjoyed their 'ous per estrellar' and their super tasty 'remenat de volets'. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice restaurant and quality food. Plus, the bartenders are always so nice and the area is just great to explore.
Best food in Barcelona. Almost no tourists. Prices are amazing. 100% Catalonian cousine. Frendly staff. I'm super upset I didn't discover this amazing place on my first day in Barca. Went here 3 days in a row.
