We ended up here when aiming for a restaurant that had gone out of business (a somewhat recurring theme in Seville, we learned to make a plan A, B and C for food when we set out). We were very early for Seville, around 12:30pm, but had reservations at the Turkish Baths at 2, so wanted to eat before that. Nobody else was eating when we arrived, we had a quick look around the shop (nice looking deli with cheese, meat, wine spirits and gourmet items), and sat down outside. Friendly server came along and gave us menus that seemed to be in Spanish, English and Russian.
We weren't starving so each ordered one larger item-- I got the cheese selection and my companion got the spaghetti bolognese with local ham. Both were good, felt a bit expensive for Seville (cheese plate was 13 euro for a dinner-plate of five cheeses). Very nice selection of wines and sherries by the glass, as you'd expect from a wine merchant. Plenty of veggie options, and I would definitely consider coming back here, particularly if I needed food at a time when fashionable places weren't open.
We stopped in to grab some meat and wine to bring back to our hotel. They have a nice selection of both, with reasonable prices. Worth visiting again on a future visit to Sevilla.
We found this place by mistake and it was the best mistake ever!! Excellent food, service and price!!
Really recommend the Sushi Iberico
